Arrowsmith and Tearfund's Tour of New Zealand

Arrowsmith is inviting you to join with us in supporting an important cause – Tearfund’s fight against human trafficking. As great companies here in New Zealand we have the ability to make a significant impact in the lives of millions of people affected by this horrific industry.

Every year an estimated 4.8 million people become victims of forced commercial sexual exploitation, generating an estimated US$99 billion for criminal networks. 98% of these people are women and children. This industry is growing hugely through capitalizing on the state of the post-COVID world.

In early November, the management team of Arrowsmith attended a dinner to raise awareness for Tear Fund, an organisation that dedicated to combatting human trafficking. Despite being aware of the existence of human trafficking, the team was shocked to learn about the extent of the problem, and as a group of parents and grandparents we found it heart-breaking to imagine our kids being subject to this type of exploitation.

Arrowsmith is taking a stand against human trafficking by entering a team in the 571km Tour of New Zealand Charity cycle event. We are seeking donations to raise funds for Tearfund to fight human trafficking both close to home, and abroad. This is where you can help.  By partnering with our team, you will not only be making a significant contribution to the fight, but you will also be raising awareness of this critical issue in our communities. Your support will help us to generate compassion and seek long-lasting changes and eventually eradicate this horrible industry.

Arrowsmith is proud to cover the full costs of our journey, so all funds raised go directly to Tearfund. Our riders are committed, they have been training for months, riding up to 5 times a week, awake well before sunrise, while still working 45+ hours per week.

As a responsible corporate citizen, you can contribute toward the drive to eradicate modern-day slavery by supporting our team in this event. Your donation will help Tearfund’s work provide much-needed support to vulnerable individuals and communities affected by this unimaginable crime. All donations are tax deductible so they will cost your only a fraction of what you can give.
