Historic Village Building 15
Old Firestation - Refurbishment
Arrowsmith was engaged by the Tauranga City Council, utilizing their expertise in maintenance and construction. The project included the replacement of the cladding and internal linings of the building.
During the planning phase, concerns were raised about the ground level heights in relation to the floor level, which had led to minor flooding in heavy rain. Arrowsmith's team was able to design and build a retaining system that resolved this issue while undertaking the main contract works, thus addressing the issue in a timely and efficient manner.
The refurbishment of the building was carried out both externally and internally, resulting in a significant improvement in the building's appearance and functionality. The Arrowsmith team worked closely with the Tauranga City Council to ensure that the refurbishment met their requirements and was completed to the highest standards.
Overall, the success of the project is a testament to the expertise and dedication of the Arrowsmith team, as well as their ability to tackle unforeseen challenges in a creative and efficient manner. The result is a revitalized building that is both visually appealing and more functional, providing a better experience for its users.
